Bronxville Nails

I came during my break from work, they did accommodate me immediately which I appreciate. However it was pretty expensive which I wouldn’t mind if my nails came out great. I got a powder dip fill in that cost $70 and asked to keep my coffin shape. My nails were thick, very bumpy and I have no idea what shape they are. The tips aren’t even straight. Also took almost an hour and a half for a fill in. The girl was taking her time with the paint job, but as I was running late I had to rush this part. It was fairly clean I can’t complain there.

I have been here a few times with my daughter and this one associate does an amazing job but another associate did a horrendous job. My daughter said she whispered something but I brushed it off. Then after 10-12 min, she went to plucking. Ok, everything was fine until she poked her in the eye! She was done and told me this whole perspective on how she wanted the other associate. At around 8pm that day (done at 12pm), she asked me if they were even and it was a little off. Now, I am debating on coming back to the salon…

Not a good experience!! Instead of feeling pampered and taking a well needed self care day I left that salon frazzled and angry because of the male owner. I took a chance today and went there without an appointment and was taken care of with no problem for a pedicure and gel manicure. I sat down in the pedicure chair and halfway through the male owner or man thats in charge tells me he has to change my nail tech because she had an appointment to take care of someone else. No problem. So the other nail tech starts to finish my pedicure, and as she is getting close finishing the second coat of nail polish, I notice my nails will need a third coat because it is leaving streaks and looks bad! In my experience this is a sign of cutting corners to try to make the nail polish last by diluting it

Had a gel manicure done on a Saturday. My thumb polish chipped on Tuesday so I went back in and they fixed it. On Wednesday another nail chipped. Gel nails should last longer than 4 days.

I’ve been to this place a few times and every time I felt like their service kept getting worse, still decided to give it a chance because of the quiet atmosphere. The first red flag was the USED nail filer they used on me. I went in for SNS Powder nails with extensions. For starters the nail tech seemed to be rushing every step. I noticed this because my sister was doing her nails beside me and her nail tech was two steps behind mine. I kept flinching my hands away because she kept filing my skin, the nail tech seemed to not care that I was being hurt my her harsh filing. After so much pain endured what I was fearing finally happened, she cut me. No apology, courtesy discount or anything. I left the place bleeding from two fingers. Needless to say I will not be coming back.
