Brimberry Barber & Beauty Salon

Several months ago (MARCH 13TH 2025), I submitted this review to share a serious and ongoing concern, but today discovered it had not been made public. For the sake of clarity and community awareness, I’ve revised it in accordance with Google’s content policies while remaining true to my experience. I’m sharing this for the safety and awareness of others, especially women who frequent this area or this establishment. I had a deeply distressing and repeated experience with one of the barbers here, which began as unsolicited invitations and escalated into inappropriate and persistent contact that extended far beyond the bounds of a professional interaction. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by two gentlemen barbers; both which were definitely keen on fashion and professional. A beautician lady named Candice did a fabulous job with my fiance's hair. I'd recommend Candice for anyone in need of beauty makeover services. This was a great first time experience, in a good atmosphere, and the service was most excellent!

THIS IS A SHINING EXAMPLE OF WHY WE MUST SUPPORT BLACK BUSINESSES ✊🏾. I was able to get my haircut after walking up and being greeted by three gentlemen at the door. All I had to say was that I wanted a low and even fade when all three popped up offering to cut my hair while on brake 😂. Lance was closest to the door and cut my hair. He did an amazing job as well as giving me a lot of useful advice about life.

Every time I walk into Brimberry they are so professional. Candace, Mike, Lance and the rest of the staff are so sweet and welcoming. I recommend this Barber and Beauty Salon to anyone. Come visit Historical Leimert Park Village and pay a visit to Brimberry!

I left this shop in tears. I am a woman who came in with natural hair. My goal was to get it washed, blown out, and trimmed. There was a lady in the shop who they said could assist me, but she was with another client. I was in bit of a rush, so i let the male barber do my hair. He didnt wash it. He only blew it out and was suppose to trim the ends. However, he decided to even my fro out , (i did ask for him to blow it into a fro, but to clip the ends ) , but he claimed i did not have split ends , and just started clipping away. I reiterated multiple times that i wanted the ends clipped. I took so long to grow my hair now the sides of my hair is one inch when i had 4 inches prior to it being cut. This is a major set back and i am very displeased. Moral of the story..i should have been mor
