Braid Town

I have never been so disrespected in my life. This was y 1st time going to this location and it just helps for me to never try any of these places again. They really need to be closed down, for women to act in this manner is disgusting. people work Hella hard for their money and to be handled like trash don't make any sense. When working in customer service I get it, it can be hard, but when a person is being respectful treating them different is crazy. She was taking my hair down from my flat twits and was ripping my hair out, I was trying to be nice about it, but she was handling me harder as she kept doing it. An once I was said something she was super pissed and started talking in their language looking at me like i was trash and all the other staff started just looking crazy like her.

This review is long overdue! I have been here to braid my hair before and each time they quote different prices. The latest time I was attempting to get my hair braided here was Sep. 21, 2025. I texted the braid town number like I usually do and sent over photos of the style I wanted. They called me and quoted “$180” I said, “well you all charged me $150 last time” and the lady said “okay if that’s what you paid then you can pay $150”. I got to the shop approximately 10 minutes later! I came in and stated “I just talked to someone about the braid style I would like” and I showed the photos. They said “okay how much did you agree on?” I said “$150,” immediately their demeanor changed. One lady came over and said “no you can’t pay $150, it’ll be more money, we never charge $150”. I'm 32 grew my hair for 6 years but before always cut and grew it back. Cause my sister is a very big stylist in Florida. But being in Houston it was hard I can say I found a replacement they are great

Fondren Location: I have taken my daughter here since 2020. I moved from the area but I still take the long drive to come here. My daughter love coming to Braid Town on Fondren.She feels comfortable & confident knowing her hair will be cute & she gets so many compliments. Her braider is faster than most & she always does a great job. I notice a lot of people knows the Boss lady Ms.Montue. I dont know her personally but when ever I see her at Braid Town she is always very kind & professional.
