WOW SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS STORE I had a shopping list and wasn't totally sure where to start but Lucy (the owner) was so kind, helpful! She took my list and made it better while keeping my budget in mind. I saw someone coming to pick up orders so if you're looking to skip Amazon or other big retailers and shop small I highly recommend. I am surprised to see people's negative reviews, not my experience at all. I will be going back for the shae butter Lucy brought back from Ghana for $8.
Had to run in last minute the other day, and I’ve actually been here a few times. Every time I’ve come in, I’ve had great service. Living in the Hollywood area, it’s not always easy to find a Black owned beauty supply near by. I’m happy to support.
My son who wears locs walked in earlier today to purchase some hair oil . He spoke with a lady who appeared to be the owner . She was extremely rude and not helpful . We both try support black businesses all the time but it seems most black businesses have owners who are extremely rude and unprofessional. He asked questions regarding two products as he needed help finding a good water based moisturizer for his locs. She told him to read the label to figure out what the difference was between the two products. This is why it's hard to Patronize and support black businesses. We will not be patronizing this business and further . My son found what he needed but decided not to purchase because the black owner was so rude . Instead he chose to drive to a Korean owned store to purchase what he
I booked the knotless boho braids with the owner, Lucy. The appointment itself went fine, and I had no complaints at the time. However, upon leaving, I noticed that my hair was not knotted and was instead finished with glue. These types of braids need to be knotted to prevent the ends from falling out, and unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened, I lost a total of seven braid ends in just three days. The glue used was also very visible and left a white residue. I did reach out to the owner, and she refunded my deposit and offered to fix the hair by using a different glue. I appreciated the effort, but I wasn’t able to make the appointment and decided to fix the hair myself. While I do appreciate her willingness to correct the issue, the original job was done very poorly. If you are lo
Extremely helpful! I was buying for a friend and with the help of salesperson was able to get products that were superior to what was originally requested. If tasked again with a Beauty Shop - I’ll be sure to return!
