BLONDE BY LUCKE | Balayage Expert & Hair Colorist

I’ve been coloring my hair blonde for over 25 years, and I’ve never left a salon feeling as disappointed as I did after this appointment. I came in as an ashy blonde with about 1 cm of darker blonde roots and booked a partial highlight. (See Photo 1 — before my appointment. My face is covered for privacy, but the hair tone and dimension are clearly visible.) I showed Lucke several inspiration photos and clearly discussed wanting a soft “buttercream blonde” look with warmth and dimension. He even recorded our consultation, so I felt confident we were on the same page. (See Photo 2 — the buttercream blonde inspiration images I provided.) Loved the energy of Lucke! He was very patient when I was running late due to a freaking cement truck blocking a one-way and being relatively new to driving in NYC after moving back here recently. He created an extremely personable and hospitable atmosphere, which was a pleasant surprise since this is NYC and typically it's an in and out vibe here. Having moved back to the city to the Astoria/LIC area and being relatively new here aside from having lived in Brooklyn back in 2021, having that level of hospitality and warmth after moving back was very comforting and helps to reintegrate as a local. Best blonding experience ever! Lucke is an amazing artist. I will be back in a month. Cozy, friendly environment. He made us feel like family. Can't recommend enough. Luved the entire experience! No show for my color correction appointment. I drove 80 miles from eastern long Island! Ghosted at the front door. The appointment was a reschedule- he forgot! Wanted me to wait till 4 or 5 this afternoon. I sent him a screen shot of his confirmation. I sat on his doorstep after driving 80 miles. Now I'll pay a professional to fix my color. Waisted my Saturday- lesson learned.

Lucke is a talented artist and he exceeded all my expectations. I went in a ginger and left as a blonde bombshell. I am in love with my hair now. My color looks so natural, lights up my features and my coloring and complexion. I am so happy with my color and cut. Everyone has been complimenting my hair and saying this is the best color and looks like it was made for me. The before and after photos speak for themselves.

Lucke is THE BEST! He is incredibly kind and patient, taking the time to walk through the exact color you not only are looking for, but the color that will compliment you the best as well. He spent time asking questions to make sure we are aligned and delivered exactly on that! Not to mention, so lovely to speak with. Maintaining blonde hair is tricky, natural or not, but I trust Lucke wholeheartedly :) Highly recommend going to Lucke, you will not regret it!
