Blo Blow Dry Bar

I had a really less than fun experience at Blo Amsterdam. The woman who washed and dried my hair was very short with me and determined to get my hair done as fast as possible. She was really rough, yanking and pulling on my hair, and tried drying my hair so fast steam kept coming up and it smelled like burning hair. She also bribed my scalp a few times. She tried going the lazy route with a blow out (drying it frizzy then flat ironing to hell) and I stopped her when I realized she was using the flat iron. I had also not been asked if she could use the tool, and felt taken advantage of and like an item on her to do list. My hair was dried in the fastest time it ever has been- in a really bad way. I walked in at 6:17 pm to see if they accepted walk ins. The person at the front desk said “yes but the last appt is at 6:15pm.” She didn’t ask what I wanted to get done before dismissing me, while the store closes at 8pm. First & last time. To think they would be a little more accommodating to near by store owners.

Had a great experience here with Christina! I was on an anniversary trip to NY and forgot my haircare tools at home, so I needed to find somewhere to get my hair done for an evening event ASAP — and she completely saved the day. The style not only held up all night, but the curls are still beautiful this morning (which is nearly unheard of with my stubborn, Asian hair!). I'm so grateful to Blo Blow Dry Bar and Christina for giving me amazing hair for an amazing night!

Stephanie braided my hair before my knee surgery. She was amazing, took her time, and was so thoughtful. I can’t wait to come back to visit! Thanks ladies!

A great blowout by Stephanie. It was super efficient and she did exactly what I wanted - my hair is super shiny and sleek with some bounce at the ends. I was in and out of there in around 35 minutes and I have shoulder length hair. I will be going back!
