Love Blackroom Salon! I had the same hairdresser for years until I moved to Boston and have been so happy with this new salon. Jenn is an incredible colorist! She asked all the right questions and made my hair look absolutely fabulous - the color was honestly better than what I was used to. I usually get blonde highlights and she gave me a very natural looking perfect balayage and blow dry! She even picked up my lunch for me while the color set! Everyone at the salon is great. I have also had a wonderful haircut with Kori — who cut my curls with precision and helped shape my bangs beautifully! I really wanted a hairdresser that does razor cuts - and so many of the folks here seem to offer them! Very hip, very cool, very welcoming! My hair is well cared for.

I have been going to Blackroom since Sam opened the salon 7 years ago. Sam cuts my hair and Jenn colors it and they both are amazing. I was living in Boston when I first started going to them but have since moved back to RI and now travel up to the city to get my hair done by them and it is so worth it. The salon is so welcoming and they are experts of their craft. I would recommend this salon and specifically Sam and Jenn to anyone!

Absolutely loved the energy n vibes of this salon. it’s so welcoming !! I had a great time with Taylor who gave me such an amazing cut. I loved how we talked through the process n she understood my vision exactly especially with my hair type. She made me feel so confident about my haircut and gave me so many beautiful layers n a side bang. will be back in the future for more hair projects! such an amazing place filled with talent !!

I decided to book with Blackroom after hearing so many positive experiences from friends, and I’m so glad I did. I had an appointment with Taylor Daly, who made my experience at Blackroom amazing! She really took the time to figure out exactly what I was looking for and made sure I was feeling confident with the cut. I have curly hair, and Taylor perfectly understood how to work with it. As a queer person, I felt welcomed and super comfortable in this space. Will definitely be returning!

Had a great time getting my haircut by Taylor! The music was on point and vibes were high. Taylor took a good amount of time to chat with me and make sure we were on the same page with what I wanted and I’m so happy with my cut :) I’ve previously been to Celeste and Lex and had excellent haircuts from them too. As a curly haired person it can be scary to get a haircut but I would trust any stylist at Blackroom to cut my hair
