I was on a work trip from CT and made a split second decision to get a haircut instead of just a blowout. Two weeks later, and I could not be happier with the cut— Cathy not only gave me tips on how to style as she was coiffing a full 7-8 inches off my mane, but she gave me a new confidence to try out the multiple hair tools I’ve been collecting over the years that I couldn’t ever really figure out. I’ve blow-dried and styled my hair more in the last two weeks than I have in the past two years. It feels amazing to have pretty hair that I can do myself. If you’re in the Richmond area, definitely give Cathy a chance. She is so kind and talented. I’ll definitely be back to see her any time I can!

Booked a hair styling appointment for a wedding in town and Cathy was so responsive and did a fantastic job on my updo! The salon is beautiful and welcoming and I felt so taken care of! I wish I lived closer! Price was also so reasonable and she did an amazing job! :)

Lauren with Blackbird is a god send. I have never been able to find a hair stylist that understand what look I want from some horrible explanation I have and who could really work with my curly hair. She has brought my hair back to life, literally. She gets it right from the beginning. Not only does she have the talent, she is the sweetest and most relatable person. I always look forward to my appointments with her. I could never ask for better. 🥰
