Best Kept Secrets Barbershop, Hair Salon & Loc Studio

Call myself supporting a “black owned business” and walked into the shop to a gentleman sitting in the first chair on his phone. I said hello, he looked at me like I was crazy before responding with a hello that was more like a question. I asked if my sons 7 & 8 could get a haircut, it was 3 men in the shop, 2 busy and 1 doing nothing. The free gentleman said he can get one of them, the other guy said no straight up. And the last guy took forever to even respond and when he did he said come back at 5:30. I never walked into a shop and felt more unwelcome. Even if they couldn’t do the haircuts they still could’ve had a tad bit of decorum! Neverrrrr again!!!!!!!!!

The barbers here do, in fact, cut hair decent. My only thing is they need to be more cautious of how much pressure they're using when cutting hair. I've had plenty of cuts from other places and didn't have that issue. It was like the barber was digging into my head and edges, and now I have a bunch of scabs on my head. Are you trying to prevent my hair from growing back? Just work on that, please. I shouldn't feel pain when getting a haircut. You don't need to dig into my head to cut the hair.

Upon entering, I noticed a lack of cleanliness, with hair clippings not adequately cleaned up around the shop. Additionally, the atmosphere was somewhat chaotic, with four televisions playing music at varying volumes, which I found distracting. I had initially scheduled an appointment for 6:00 PM but received a call to come in at 6:30 PM instead. I arrived 15 minutes early, hoping to be attended to promptly.
