Beauty on 44 formerly Judys Hair Design

We are new to the area and was thrilled when I first used this salon. But unfortunately the stylist I was going to had to take a leave. I went in wanting a root touch up with darker roots and had a picture of what I had done before. The stylist looked at me like she had no idea what I was talking about and called another stylist over. They both argued with me that I would have to have low lights done something I have never had and did not want. They were just trying to add on another $90. I insisted that all I wanted was what the picture showed. They both went in the back with my phone leaving me sitting there for some time. I had made up my mind to just leave. When she finally came out and I told her I was bailing all of a sudden she said I can do that. Well it has been less than 2 weeks

My mother got her hair done by Allie and she did an amazing job. She’s gotten so many compliments on it so I set myself up an appointment with Allie to get my hair done too. I got a balayage done and I’m so pleased with the results! Allie took such pride in her work and took her time with my hair. She was very precise and very professional. She is very knowledgeable and taught me so many tips on keeping my hair healthy. I would also like to mention the owner of the salon Cheryl. She came over to greet me and complement Allie on her fantastic work. Her and Allie made me feel beautiful with their kind words. I highly recommend Allie!!!

Hilary is a true artist. She cuts my long, thick layers perfectly every time, and her highlighting technique is that of a true master — she actually paints the color so you can’t tell where it starts or stops, leaving a beautifully natural look. When I moved to New Smyrna a couple of years ago, I thought I’d always have to travel back to Atlanta for hair I could trust, but finding her here has been such a gift. And Beauty on 44’s small beach-town pricing — not Buckhead pricing — is the cherry on top. Highly, highly recommend.

Before walking into Judy’s Hair Design, I stopped by a chain store. My usual go to... stood at the desk with barely an acknowledgement and was told it would be a forty-five or more minute wait since I didn't make an appointment... what?!?! I wrote it off as a loss and planned to just get my hair done after the holiday. HOWEVER, I was leaving my future place of employment and saw a pretty blue sign that said "walk-ins welcome." Stepping inside I was I was out of my element. I'd never been in a salon that wasn't sterile white walls, uniforms, and cookie cutter stations. Julia was welcoming and kind. Once I was in the chair I'm not gonna lie I almost bailed. I'm really glad I stayed though. Not only did Julia guide me with questions about my hair and what I might like. She gave me some great

Tatiana was wonderful. After years of bad cuts and bad experiences I finally decided to trust someone. No regrets here. She was so sweet and caring. Love my highlights, love my cut and will definitely go back. Lovely shop owner as well. I am very pleased!!
