Beauty by Lydia llc

Lydia started doing my hair about a year ago. My hair texture was frizzy and required a lot of my time. I really didn’t like it anymore. My son was to be married in October, so I needed someone who could not only use my color brand and formula, but to create an easy to wear but elegant style for his wedding. I was instantly comfortable and at home in Lydia’s studio. It is spacious, private and calming. It is conveniently located, tucked into a wooded spot just off Larpenteur.  It doesn’t have the hub bub of a busy shop. I was nervous to try a new stylist. I like my hair to be simple, but well cut and colored. Lydia does a great job. She is also efficient. My appointments take at least an hour and a half less than my last stylist! Lydia is fabulous! She really listens to what you are trying to achieve with your hair, and she helps you make it happen. Lydia has great taste and knows how to help make your hair even more beautiful than it already is. I love that she is solo in her salon: when you visit her, there are never other clients present. And she can visit and chit-chat if you’d like, but if you prefer she can also happily leave you alone to return emails or do your work in any “down” time, the visit is only as social (or not) as you’d like. Finally, Lydia carries a great line of products that I’ve seen in Europe but have not otherwise seen in America.

This was my third time going to Lydia for a cut/color, and each appointment has been extremely pleasant and homey. She is a great conversationalist and eases any nervousness you may have, on-top of giving a killer cut and color, which turned out better than my inspo photos! Lydia just has an eye for knowing what’ll look best and I will be going to her for any hair refresh I need.

Lydia has been doing my hair for years! I always appreciate that she's happy to keep my cut/color the same or to help me change it up. Plus, when I'm being indecisive, she'll make suggestions for what she thinks will look good on me. In the last few years she's added eyelash tinting (game changer!) to go along with my regular brow tint. Thanks Lydia!

Lydia is a very talented hairstylist and colorist that always does colors and cuts that compliment my skin tone and face. I am so lucky to have found her many years ago and will not allow anyone else to touch my hair because she is the best!!!
