Barrelli Barber - Cigar Factory

I recently had a frustrating experience with Barelli due to a scheduled appointment during severe weather conditions. The city was dealing with road closures and flooding, making it nearly impossible to get around. I called the shop to reschedule my appointment but the girl at the front desk, who is usually rude, informed me that was against their policy! I needed to call 3 hours in advance. Reminder I am an existing loyal client who wanted to reschedule my appointment when the city was not flooded and the roads were not closed so I could actually make it on time to receive my haircut. Considering the circumstances, I assumed many others couldn't make it to their appointments either as she told me that over the phone as well. Barb was eating chips at her chair when I walk in. Doesn’t wash her hands as she reluctantly calls me over. Haircut at 2 and done at 2:08. $51 for someone who couldn’t care less about professionalism or their product yet proud enough to charge $51 for 8 mins of work. Including a shampoo! Cynthia has cut my hair off and on for the last 2 years. Today, I missed my appointment time and was 15 minutes late. As I sat in the waiting area, she said she could work me in for a cleanup only. I thought great! She sped through my haircut and although I didn’t receive all of the regular haircut treatment (no shampoo, no finishing hair product) she felt it was appropriate to charge me the full price of $51. I’m not one to make a big deal out of services like this, so I’ll just choose to take my money and hair somewhere else.

The first couple times that I have come to Barrelli I was somewhat satisfied with the cut though it wasn’t what I asked for. I was just glad I didn’t walk out of there looking horrid. But today I had the worst haircut of my life. I could have done a better job myself with a pair of clippers and a mirror. The person did not follow instructions of what I asked for whatsoever and the job felt rushed. Almost like she wanted to get it over with for the next person to sit in the chair. I am incredibly dissatisfied and disappointed especially knowing that the cut isn’t cheap. I look so horrid that I will be wearing a hat for the next couple months for it to grow out again.
