Art's Barber Shop

Took my 14 year old son here for a haircut on Saturday. Loved this place and the authentic "old school" barber shop feel. They were closed over lunchtime from 12-1230 pm but we did errands and came back and were served right away. The barber did great blending and cleaning up my sons hair. This is a small business and they do prefer cash so plan your visit. Highly recommend!

I dunno. I didn't go in because there's a sign on the door that says cash or check only. The journey that followed for cash or a barber took 3 hrs and ended up with me getting a mediocre yet lopsided cut at GreatClips. By that time I had cash, but God, what a stupid day to lose all that time to a haircut I could have given myself.

Art is old school, fast and affordable barber. No BS, No Gay things. I do really like visiting Art Barber shop and definitely recommend.

If you are looking for a properly priced haircut, this is the place. Rick is 2nd generation , old school barber, so no fancy styling here. Lived in many different areas in the US and always hard to find a guy/girl that could cut my hair constantly without it costing $25+. Rick has never disappointed me. So, if you need a no nonsense haircut, from an old school professional barber, Art's is the place to go in Roseville. (edit for update) End of July 2025, still an inexpensive place to get your hair cut by a barber & not a Great Clips all we know is to use electric clippers at setting # whatever. He's gruff, & with what's considered inappropriate banter. & if you can't handle that, don't go.

As a first time customer. I was treated very poorly and will never return. The owner of Art's Barber gave me a buzz cut down to the scalp with clippers after asking me what kind of cut I desired (I gave clear directions and he completely ignored them). He made negative judgmental comments about race and politics during the visit. I walked out with a terrible haircut that took 4-5 months to grow out. What a negative customer experience, both the cut and the barber's comments. Avoid Art's unless you want a Boot Camp look and an uncomfortable customer experience.
