I was a little intimidated by the name, but Arlington Hair Salon is just a modern barber shop (barber pole included) in a relaxing and comfortable setting. Located on Broadway in Arlington, there is plenty of free street parking. They schedule appointments online which makes it easy to choose the day and time most convenient for you. You can also request the hair-cutter who will be taking care of you. When I made my first appointment I felt a little like a contestant on Wheel of Fortune because I received three responses, finally settling on Brenna, which turned out to be a perfect choice for me. Brenna was very nice and did a great job! My regular hair cut was perfect and she was very accommodating to my requests. I went a couple of times and I absolutely recommend this place.

I adore this place and the women who work here. My daughter had been getting great haircuts since age 1, and I realized that her haircuts were better than mine at fancier salons mostly dedicated to women's cuts. So I began having my hair cut by the lovely Brenna. She is kind, non-judgmental, truly understands what I actually *need* (a cut/style with the ability to maintain it), and executes perfectly. I haven't had haircuts this perfect for me since I left a beloved stylist in another state over a decade ago. Arlington Hair Salon is a hidden gem. I also like that it is calm, low-key, and everyone is kind and nice. Edit: it’s only better now that there is super easy online appointment scheduling.

The sign in the window says, "Walk in welcome." I walked in twice on different months but was told they are booked for the day. On both attempts, I was not offered to schedule an appointment or come back the next day.

We have been coming here since my son is little. We tried other places, because my ASD son hates haircuts, and this one was the one that he felt most comfortable at. The ladies are all very nice, easy to talk to, and I trust any of them with my son's hair!
