Aoua's Braids

Updating my experience after a visit today. I booked two-strand twists intended to last three weeks while traveling. During installation, my hair was not fully saturated, and despite repeatedly asking for more water, mousse was used instead. The twists looked worn immediately after completion. I was charged full price with no adjustment. Theses are barely twists!

I have been going to Aoua’s for years she is practically family I have never been disappointed with any of my styles. She is a master at her craft and willing to fix what u don’t love . I recommend her to everyone ❤️

This was by far the worst experience of my life. If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. The first time I ever went here, I asked for knotless jumbo braids with leave out curls. I had just done the big chop and wanted braids to disguise the actual length. They ended up giving me mid sized braids with no leave out because I didn’t bring my own hair but I figured “mission accomplished anyway, you can’t see my hair is short anymore” and I settled. It was my first time ever at a professional braiding shop so I just took the experience for what it was and tried not to be too particular or critical when scoping everything out. My braids felt extremely tight but I grew up hearing “pain is beauty” and didn’t feel right speaking up about the amount of pain. The amount of tension bumps I ended up gett

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I contacted this place via WhatsApp 2 weeks in advance for an appointment. When I got there for my appointment, there were 2 people without any clients, they said the person who did those braids was not there today (it was literally just 2 braids). Made me waste my time and money in gas plus now I will have to attend my event without braids. Don’t trust this place for appointments!

Wish I could leave 0 stars. Worst customer experience ever. Bad energy. Demeaning. I don’t know why they’re in business when they’re just terrible to other human beings. Went there and no proper welcome. Being looked at weirdly. They were just looking at my hair disgusted saying like I can’t do this style. Your hair won’t be fit for the cornrows. While other stylists will mention what works. I am disgusted and will never come back. I hope no human has to deal with them
