I definitely do not understand how some are leaving any 5 star reviews. 2 stars MAXIMUM and even that is pushing it. I showed up to my appointment 15 minutes early, but Amy was almost 40 minutes late and offered no apology for her lateness. She was very rough with my hair, and the style I received wasn’t the style I asked for. The place is also unclean, the bathroom is horrendous and there were flies and gnats throughout the entire salon. Stylist stopped doing my hair to go on her phone multiple times and was on and off different phone calls throughout the entire appointment. My braids came out cute, but it was not what I asked for. Costumer service needs tremendous help.

She agrees to one price before the appointment but then you show up and she changes her price. You show her the evidence and she makes an excuse. She charged me $170 for medium box braids and I had to purchase my own hair before the appointment. I haven’t had my hair in for a month and my hair is already coming out of my braids (this has never happened before). The top looks decent, I do get compliments, however, she did a horrible job on the back and middle. I also don’t like the big knots at the root of the braid. I told her about it and she fixed some but refused to do the rest. Then the length is not accurate and she did not braid the hair down far enough. Most of the hair is not braided and attracts lent. I can’t wear sweaters because the hair sticks to it, probably because it’s bad h

It's been a while since I've gone to Ami's but based on the bad reviews it hasn't changed. The braiders are always on the phone, and loud in Your ear. The place us untidy and unclean. Amy always tries to up the price when you arrive and is routinely late putting you in a chair. Clean up your business and learn more professionalism, 🙏 🙏 please. I was considering trying again, but I see it's a No!! Amy's place is the reason why I stopped getting my hair braided, after 8 years of braids. I went with a natural afro. I just need a change again, but will have to keep looking for a better shop. Maybe not as convenient as Amy's location, but worth the trouble.

Ok. Amy is a wonderful woman... However, Do not go. Everytime I have gone there always forgetting my last experience in there regarding my hair. Both times I lost significant amounts of my own hair. Maybe this wouldn't be a problem if I had no hair but I do. I went to Amy to cut out my weave. Not only did she cut out my weave but she chopped multiple pieces of my front hair off. Probably because she was on the phone the whole time. Thank God I have more hair to cover it. The previous time about two years ago one of her workers washed my hair and tangled it up. Again I lost my hair... Why did I go back even to cut out a weave. I can't.. Again nice lady but I guess I'll have to drive to NYC and most likely stay away from weaves and braids.

I was supposed to get my hair done 1130 on a Sunday morning. Amy called and confirm with me a couple days before. I show up on time Sunday morning to the appointment to get my hair done she’s not there. The gentleman allowed me and I waited for an hour she still do not show up. I called her about three or four times maybe even more no answer. Then after that I left her a text message stating that I’ve been here an hour and she still hasn’t showed up nor did she answer her phone I wasted my time I wasted gas and I paid for a tool to get there just for her not to do my hair I even have the courtesy to answer her phone. Never again.
