The Chisel

I am overjoyed with my experience and cut from Shane! As someone with curly hair, they were exceptional in listening to the hopes and needs I had for my cut and they throughly exceeded my expectations. I had not gotten a haircut for 3 years and was self maintaining my curls but I was overdue for some layering and a professional cut. Shane was able to fit me in super last minute and treated my hair with more care than several previous "curly salons" I have visited in the past. They took my triangle hair shape and made it bouncy and feel alive again. Thanks to them, I have a newfound confidence I haven't had about my hair in years. Seriously, I went home singing and dancing like I haven't done in ages! If you're undecided about making a visit, don't hesitate! Do yourself a favor and stop in!

A beautiful space to enjoy a haircut! I got my hair cut and blown out by the extremely talented Melissa and received tons of compliments. The complimentary glass of wine was also a lovely addition to my experience! I can’t wait to go back for my next cut!

Shane gave me a great cut here. Loved the vibe and personalities of the space. Moved from Brooklyn in September and this was my first cut up here. Happy to have found a place that I can trust with my hair. The receptionist has such a welcoming kind energy and makes a great cappuccino :)

Melissa has been cutting my hair and beard for years, and she is truly the best. Her attention to detail, consistency, and care always leave me looking sharp and feeling great. Beyond her incredible skill, she’s warm, professional, and makes every visit enjoyable. The new shop is absolutely gorgeous—modern, stylish, and welcoming. Kudos Richard and Liz! Everyone there is so kind and creates such a positive atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend Melissa (and The Chisel team) more highly. If you’re looking for top-notch grooming in a beautiful space, this is the place!

Richard is great and i love this place. I moved up here 5 years ago and gave up on finding a place for my haircuts up here. I ended up just going back to the city where I work but after trying out The Chisel, I finally found my place! Really happy it's up here and the design, little touches and of course the big pup make this place memorable!
