Amie Hair Braiding

My experience here was very uncomfortable. While getting my hair braided, I was in pain and tried to move my head, but they kept forcing it back and touching me even when I said it hurt. They also kept taking my phone out of my hand and using their own phone during the appointment. I asked for big box braids, but they made them smaller than what I wanted and still charged $160–$180. The braids were way too tight, and the appointment took 3 hours instead of 2. I left feeling sore and upset. I wouldn’t recommend this place and made me miss my nail appointment

If you want to waste your money, be blatantly disrespected, receive crappy service, want braids that look like someone did them with their eyes closed, then this is the trash bin… I mean shop, for you! I wanted to love this place. I returned repeatedly, even after countless crappy experiences, but time and time again, I was left disappointed. DO NOT GO HERE. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

I’ve been going there for many years to get my hair braided and was always satisfied but the last time I was got my hair done a few braids fell out a few days later! When I went back to her shop she dismissed me and said come back later too busy. Mind you it was a few braids for her to fix, she could’ve fixed them but chose not to! I will never get my hair done by her again! Very rude and very unprofessional! I don’t recommend her to anyone. I will look for another braid shop to do business with! Ladies and gents heed my warning! 😡

I have short hair but I’m not bald headed and I feel like African women love telling African American women that our hair is short and nappy. The lady that did my hair did not comb my hair out she fake blow dried it. She only parted neatly around the parameter of my head. The middle of my head had hunks and chunks of box braids. I couldn’t even keep the braids in for 3 weeks. I would never go here to get my hair done or even run in there if I was on fire

So I found this place because I needed quick braids. The salon looks like it’s from the 70s. Empty and smelly. The customer service is trash. The entire time she’s was yelling over my head. I gave a tip and she was super rude when I said thank you like I was bothering her and she wanted me out. I rather pay more and go somewhere else. My braids were meh….
