African Nubian Queens Hair Braiding

I do not recommend! And do not trust TikTok. I decided to give them a try and it would be my first and last time going there. They had one girl that started my hair up front, it wasn’t bad until two other ladies started in the back of my hair. The back is awful! There’s not one right lane or box in the back of my hair. The parts are all over the place and BIG!…compare to the ones in front of my head. The braids are not the same size either.

Let’s start with the fact that my hair was not tucked in the braid. My parts are different sizes. My part in the front is not in the middle of my head. Some of my hair was not even braided. I told them about it. They tried to argue with me. They were speaking to each other in their native language and called me annoying. Thank God for Google translate! And just overall terrible braiding skills, and terrible customer service. Take your money where it would be appreciated!

Do not believe TikTok or any of the videos about this shop. The only reason I went here is because my daughter had her braids done and they looked nice — but when it came to me, the experience was completely different and honestly terrible. The braids look awful. The parts are uneven, the braids are way too big, and they weren’t even braided all the way down before being dipped. I texted the lady the very next day and went back to have her fix some of them, but even after that, the overall job is just trash. The braids were poorly put in, and they look thrown together like no real care was taken. On top of that, while they were braiding my hair, they were pulling way too hard and had nasty, mean attitudes. The whole experience felt rushed, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. I paid $200 f

Today my daughter got her hair done and it was beautiful. This is not about her hair. This is about the conduct of the women in the shop bullying a 13 year old. They criticized her about her hair not knowing that she’s a swimmer and the hair style and the condition of her hair was due to her swimming. They criticized her father and mother to her. A 13 year old!!!! This is not how you conduct business. Not only will she not be returning. Her grandmother who recommended the shop will not be returning. And the mother whom they criticized will be reporting their business to the Better Business Bureau and her friends at the State. Watch whom you criticize because you never know who they are connected to.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would! I had a trip on June 11th and the week prior I made my appt on June 10th she told me to be there @7:30. I walked in and was greeted by this nice young lady! She started my hair then I was switched with another braider. The new braider was fast, then someone else started doing the back of my hair. I finished by services by 3:30 with a start time of 8:30 because of hair preparation. But timing wasn’t an issue. the issue came when I asked her to re-dip my hair because the ends were moving but to the roots down to my shoulders were stiff she completely ignored me which was no big deal because I am a braider myself and I could do it at home.
