African Braiding Hair Salon and Beauty Supply

On Friday my girl set and appointment up for me to get 4 braids at 2:30pm Saturday. I showed up 15 minutes early, the lady said , can I help you, yes I have an appointment at 2:30, she says, "after I'm done with this one, you have someone else before you"!. She was halfway done with the one on the chair!. I immediately began calling other shops , found one that took me right away. All I wanted was to get my hair done to attend my lil sisters funeral!. The audacity of this lady wasting people time and the attitude she has is crazy!

They have a new location in Taylorsville Sqaure. I called the owner of the salon ahead of time and she told me to come at 10 on Friday. To be respectful of her time, I came by 9:45 and waited till 10 but she didn’t show up on time. I went to grab breakfast and when I came back at 10:15, another lady was seated in the chair and she was about to do her hair. Instead of asking the lady to wait while she attends to me (especially since I just wanted simple cornrows), she proceeds to do the other lady’s hair and tells me she’ll be with me shortly. I waited for almost 2 hours before leaving to do my hair elsewhere. I am very upset because when I mentioned repeatedly that I had a 10am appointment, she said that I could leave if I didn’t have time to wait. Moreover, there was zero urgency on he

I book with Aliyah on StyleSeat and it has been so stressful even after a week. I tried to resolve it through our personal text but she ended up being very rude to me. I left an honest review on her page and left out a lot of details, like how she argued with her boyfriend on the phone the entire time and how she grabbed my closure and yanked on it until i asked her to stop to which she just laughed. This is in no way me trying to stop you from booking with her because she has great reviews regarding braiding, but this was my experience. The salon owners were actually so kind to me after the interaction with a this part time stylist. If I was schedule to meet with you at 4:30 and I leave at 11:30pm and nothing has been done to my hair, yes I will say something.

Hello, I am not a person to give opinions but I come to give mine because I see that it does not have the score that the place deserves. The place is excellent, the people are very kind, they treat you with respect but above all with attention, they help you select your hair and tell you what would be better and what not and in addition to that what I did with them was perfect, phenomenal extensions. I had extensions because my hair shrinks a lot and I had a photo section and I was delighted with their work.

I drove all of the way out here from American Fork to buy braiding hair. She said she no longer is functioning as a beauty supply store. Please change the name of your salon.
