Aesop West Broadway

Arguably a company with thee best costumer service experiences. I’ve shopped online, and while it serves a purpose it’s nice to have that human interaction from time to time. The fragrance of the store and earthy aroma alone is worth a trip to the brick and mortar! While popping in to refill my holy grail product (Primrose Hydrating Cream) Sarah was kind enough to take a moment and ask if my sink concerns had changed since my last purchase. While shopping I was offered a cup of tea, a pleasant offering on a rainy day! Included with my purchase Sarah provided me some samples of a new night mask that I’m eager to try!

We came in an early afternoon and was greeted by the staffs. They had us wash our hands and tried on some lotion we were interested in. In addition another staff served us some warm mint tea and it was perfect as the weather was quite cold outside. The staffs were very nice and helpful. They also gave us some samples to try. They put the items in a tote string bag, but wished it also came in a small paper bag (maybe to not create extra paper waste). Overall, the experience was very nice and the inside was very beautiful! Recommend everyone to come and try out their hand lotion and other products.

In January 2024 I stopped in to get some gifts for friends. Products are good and tea was nice but after paying they took the goods and handed it off to the staff holding the door, only to be handed back the bag when I was on my way out and I felt rushed. I suppose the store is small and they are preventing potential theft but it left a bad taste in my mouth and I would have went somewhere else if I knew this was the way they treat their paying customers.

Are they buying reviews? 4.3 does not make any sense. Hope they are not deleting all the unpleasant reviews. I and my friend went to this location yesterday, and we were told no testing is available and everything should be contactless. Okay, although most (if not all) of the fragrance stores do offer testing, that was acceptable, and I thought even reasonable since it is during pandemic. However how they treated us was not acceptable. I asked what are the top sellers and all I got was attitude. ??? There were two female employees and one of them never spoke to us and another person was very, rude. And while she was being weirdly rude for no reason the other one was being just silent. Kayla at the Aesop on west Broadway blew me away with her outstanding customer service & lovely spectacular show stopping personality. Kayla was so extremely accommodating & efficient with helping me narrow down which scent profiles spoke to me the most among all the different scents that Aesop carries. She was funny, caring, charismatic, & a pleasure to meet. My experience at this Aesop improved my credit, restored my hairline, & added 12 years to my life span. I’m so incredibly grateful for the experience that was afforded to me through Kayla’s immaculate customer service, & endearing sense of humor. Also Scott made the most delicious tea I’ve ever had in my entire life. This is by far the best Aesop location in the tri-state area, hands down.
