ADX is a great space for community, events, and making stuff. :) One-of-a-kind Portland. I've attended many things there and it's always a good vibe. They've also hosted an event I organize (CreativeMornings Portland). Kelley and Syd are great to work and huge supporters of creative things going on in Portland. They did everything they could to make our event welcoming, accessible, and easy. Everyone should find at least one event or class or workshop to attend at ADX so they can see the space and everything that happens in it!

I have been a member of ADX since April 2025, but loved the community atmosphere and location so much I began to rent out a private studio space to store my art supplies and have a space to create in. The basic membership price of $75 a month for community use is reasonably priced for beginning your art journey, discovering your passion, and have a plethora of community insights and networking opportunities! You also cannot beat being able to have 24/7 access to the facility in case the creativity spark is flowing during the daytime or having a late night full of idea’s. I can confidently confirm this is a very LGBTQIA+ respectable and friendly place to be for anyone! There are also food cart’s next door that serve up very delicious food varieties in case you forget to pack a meal for

I have been a member at ADX since 2022 (so 3+ years as of this post) I’m in the wood shop and I am so, so, so grateful for a community shop like this to exist! It is stocked with all the necessities! Jointer, planer, table saw, chop saw, router table, band saw, drill press and more! ADX has helped me to get me into a space that works for me and my work, and the community at ADX has provided numerous opportunities for growth and learning. I am a painter as well, and ADX also supports me in that passion, offering me the ability to show my art in the gallery and participate in monthly collaborative shows! There’s lots of amazing people and projects, support and community - but also lots of space! So things never feel crowded to me - except when there is a gallery opening, artist market, con

I first got involved at ADX by having a group show in Gallery X. It was an amazing experience. Syd and Kelley provided great support to us throughout, including putting on a great opening reception. But best of all, we felt so welcomed and supported by the ADX community. Once the month-long show concluded, I signed up as a member, because I didn’t want the experience to end! :) Syd and Kelley do so much to support local artists, build community, and create amazing experiences. The other artists are very engaged and there’s always something exciting going on, from frequent events to creative pop-up gallery shows, and there are consistently high quality shows in Gallery X. It’s also wonderful to be part of an artists’ community again. Being around so much creativity is so invigorating! So

I participate in a lot of ADX's gallery shows, and they are the best! Syd is incredible at making you feel included and welcome, there's always something cool happening, and the place is always changing in some way, for the better. Glad to be a part of the vibe. ✌🦝
