Øya Healing and Wellness Center

I was lucky enough to book a last minute massage with Marit last week, and I'm so glad! I don't get a massage very often but enough to be able to recognize a good one! :) Marit is really good. She not only helped me relax and unwind with a 1 hour massage, but I also had some some upper back pain and strain from carrying my twin 18-month olds around to the point of my arms falling asleep at night. She knew exactly what points to hit on my upper back for the pain and the numbness to go away completely. Wish I lived closer so I can get a massage with her more often!

AMAZING!! I recently had back surgery which failed, and then had a traffic accident on top of that. I've had very serious, chronic back pain for 9 plus years, and have been to countless massage therapists over the years, pretty much to no real avail. I saw Marit's Flyer advertising $1.00 per minute for massage. OK - I'll give it a try, but at that price I was really not expecting much. Within 10 minutes I could not believe what she was doing, that there was just no way such a skilled, and TRULY GIFTED healing therapist she was. I had been suffering with a terrible headache for nearly three weeks and had not slept well during most of that time. After reading a flyer for Øya Healing and Wellness Center, I called to talk to Merit, explaining my problem, and asked if she could help me. She asked some questions about the pain I was having, then told me she was sure she could help me, but no guarantee the pain would all be gone. I made an appointment for that afternoon. As soon as she started working on my upper back, neck and head, I knew I had made a good decision. I truly believe this lady has healing hands.
