Yatu African Hair Braiding

I love my hair! My first time coming here and I had a decent experience. I will say the customer service needs to improve there was two lady’s on my head, which got me out in 5 hours total. The fair skinned lady was super nice and was fine with me falling asleep, as I just finished a 12 hour shift. The other darker skinned lady was extremely rude. I asked her how much longer and she told me with an attitude she didn’t know. She also was huffing and puffing the whole time my hair was getting done. I was also asked to pay before my hair was finished and as I was trying to look in the mirror to make sure it was to my liking, she screamed at me “ARE YOU OKAY!?”. At that point, I was extremely disappointed with her service and just wanted to get my hair done. Overall my hair turned out great, b

Yesterday made my second of many visits to this braiding shop. First let me start by saying that the stylist here are all very sweet women. They are kind and make you feel welcome. All very talented and braids fast!! Styles are high quality, and consistent. I got small waist length boho box braid (pictured) the first time and yesterday I got small waist length boho knotless. I live in NC but every time I visit I will get my hair done here. They accept walk ins!!

Literal thieves. Please don’t waste your time or money. I asked for small knotless and even showed a picture to confirm. I knew something was wrong when she finished after 3 hours made me pay with cash before she told me she was done and then walked away without showing me my hair. I went to the mirror myself and realized that my head looked skimpy like braids were missing. I asked from across the room (since she walked off) could she show me the back. She says “I don’t have a small mirror in here so….” With a tone like I said something wrong. So I go to the car and use my phone camera to find out the back of my head has large boxes, the side medium, and only the top two rows have small while my entire head has small braids. I paid for small braids with small boxes not small braids with me

Horrible service. I waited 2 hours for 2 cornrows just for them to mess up my hair. The women there are evil spirited and will purposely damage your hair. I left the shop with a head full of gel, damaged hair, and wasted time. The lady kept yanking and pulling my hair extra hard after I told her to chill. I pray for their souls, because nothing good will ever come from being evil.

Yatu is the best!! I recommend if you are looking for reasonable price and good people, without a doubt you definitely will be satisfied.
