Yama African Hair Briads

Did a great job. I got my hair braided today my braids look tight. They are neat. And the best thing about them they triple team my head and was done in about three hours. I am very impatient so that was wonderful. I will be returning again.

NEVER AGAIN! DO NOT GET SCAMMED LIKE I DID! I paid $300 to get extra small boho knotless braids. My braids are not in fact extra small, they’re all different sizes throughout my entire head, I asked to have the braids braided down twice, the woman said okay, and STILL did not braid them down, resulting in me having to return to the shop the following day at a specific time agreed upon with the manager, only for her not to be there, I also asked for waist length, the braids were beneath my bottom, resulting in me having to ask if they could be cut, but not straight across, after going back and forth with the stylist, because the didn’t want to cut them, they proceeded to cut STRAIGHT ACROSS! I have patronized this business for over ten years (as recently as today) and have always been pleased with their work. All of the braiders are talented, kind, and professional. They go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable during your service and satisfied with your final style. Arrive early as they work 1st come 1st serve.

Wish I could give y’all 0 stars. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service! My friend recently went to them this weekend for boho knotless braids. While braiding my friend’s hair, my friend observed the braider scratch her crotch at one point as well. She did not leave to go wash her hands and come back she just continued to braid. Additionally, she politely communicated with the braider that her braids were not the same size. Excess hair from the boho hair pieces were sticking out that could have been snipped off for neatness. As black women that have been getting our hair braided since childhood we understand perfection may not be realistic but we ALSO understand when a stylist/braider is being negligent or just lacks overall competence. Do not go here. I personally talked to Yama and told her I wanted my parts small in the front and small in the back. Basically I wanted the parts the same size and she told me that was going to cost more!!!! I’ve been going to her for years but I won’t be back. She is money hungry!!!
