My hair was botched due to a technique/ application error of the enlightener color- a dye with bleach in it- they didn’t apply this color from my root down to where my previously bleached hair was, so I had a very dark and obvious band sandwiched between hair that has been lightened. I’ve been to this salon a handful of times now and this was the worst outcome I’ve had. When the color was revealed, I told my stylist I needed it to be fixed ASAP. The stylist tried to convince me that a toner would be the solution but that it would darken my hair overall, which was not what I wanted. I came in the next day to get a color correction- this is what I would’ve been charged for if I had went to another salon and asked them to fix my hair. After 2 hours, it’s discovered my stylist had not applied

Had my first appointment at XEX with Dalila and I'm glad I did! She was very pleasant and professional and did an amazing job on my haircut. I had an average experience with a previous barber and definitely was all positive at XEX i will definitely be back. Have gotten compliments all day so I'm very happy with Dalila's barber skills and my finished results everything is lined up and on point 10/10 5 stars !

I’ve been coming to XeX for almost a year for root touch ups and cuts. Each time, I’ve seen Kristina L and she does great work. I’d recommend her to anyone. I’m always happy with the color and style and leave feeling confident. The front staff is always very nice and accommodating when I’ve had scheduling questions. Booking online (or calling) is also very easy and convenient. The salon is always clean.

I've been going here since I moved to Chicago last year and have never had a bad haircut. Molly is an awesome stylist! she listens and also gives feedback when I ask for her opinion on my preferences. It's not always easy to cut and style Asian hair but she does a great job every time.

Alicia Zhagui did an amazing job on my hair :D I had grown out bangs and asked for face framing layers and long layers all around and she fulfilled my request perfectly! Best haircut I’ve had in years, 10/10 highly recommend XEX and especially Alicia. Easy to book an appointment and price was also very reasonable especially for the quality!
