Lucy Scala is an artist. She creates a style that fits the person. I started going to her in 1994. She does exquisite color, and she knows what to do with short hair. I have been to stylists in NY, Rome, Denver and she is by far the best, most artistic and on top of all this... she is wonderful, funny and an all around gem!

I moved here from the big city about a year or so ago and was used to my barber for almost 15 years. Getting your hair cut is a very personal thing it not only helps to define who you are but how you feel about yourself. So moving to a new place and finding a new barber (hair stylist) is tough. When I first walked into Haircutz I felt at home. Lucy Scala is friendly, caring and does a great job with the scissors. The price is very reasonable. Because of this I go back regularly to get my hair cut from her. I've been to the Hudson Valley Mall for a cut... yup it's cheaper... and it proved the saying you get what you pay for... and sadly a good cut and friendly service like Lucy gives is not what you pay for there. Luv this place! It's so relaxing and inviting and conveniently located in Woodstock, NY Lucy is such a friendly and talented stylist who listens to you and your hair needs. And if you have bangs, you will not be disappointed, they always look amazing when you leave her salon.

Lucy is the best, hands down. If you want to get a haircut that your friends' hairdressers will admire, go to Lucy. I went out to dinner and one of our companions, a salon owner from out of town, wanted to know who'd done my bangs..."They are amazing!" They are. She is.

Booked a last minute appointment and was in and out in 45 minutes with perfect hair! I had the unpleasant experience of getting my hair butchered by a random strip mall styling place and Lucy just took me in and fixed it. Will definitely be coming back more!
