Recently walked in at Westgate Barber Shop and noticed a higher attention to quality here. The place was quiet and cool, nice open floor plan. Both barbers were in the zone making sure the clients were satisfied. My turn came up rather quickly for a walk in. When John asked me what kind of cut I’d like I gave him a pretty basic response and then he delivered a great haircut. I walked away with a fade I liked. Think i just found myself a new barber.

It was a couple of years ago when i first came to Westgate. I quickly learned this is a business i can trust. The place is far from flashy, but I can always count of a consistent cut, exactly the way I like it. I have not been disappointed. Once, in the middle of a hair cut, the power went out in the building (at no fault to Westgate). Despite the job being started with electric clippers, it was finished up expertly with scissors. Afterward, i was told that payment would not be necessary, due to the circumstances. I was very surprised, as the haircut still looked great. I accepted the free haircut and appreciated the generosity and kind gesture. At home, I couldn't find anything about the cut that I could complain about. I returned the next month for another haircut and with an extra tip

Came here with my two-year-old son and waited over a half an hour for our turn. As soon as we were up I told the gentleman that I needed to sit with my two-year-old son because he will cry understandably. And he refused service to my two-year-old son because he didn’t want to sit in a booster seat with a buzzer going off in his ears. I’ll never be back. The lady who works here has NEVER treated me this way. She’s always been understanding. Unfortunately, we’ll never be back and we’ll go elsewhere. So if you have young children do not bring them here. Because you will end up wasting your time, just to be sent away.
