West Spa

A few weeks back I slipped on an ice patch going down the stairs outside. Long story but it seems I popped a rib loose somehow in my back. Went to the chiropractor last Thursday and that helped but she suggested I get a deep tissue massage then return as soon as I could once I was loosened up. I called around and couldn't get in anywhere and since I don't frequent a particular therapist nobody could get me in. I did a search and found that West Spa would be opening at 9am on Saturday morning. I was able to be the first session of the day and the therapist was very polite, and got me right in. I came in for a massage, they were very friendly and got me in quickly. However, the massage caused me great distress afterwards and I am still recovering from the neck pain and have experienced excruciating pain all over (I believe it may have been too intense of pressure) just be weary if you have certain ailments as to not exasperate them.

I called and they fit me in last minute. Everyone was super nice and the massage was painful but worked. I'm still sore from the massage but they fixed my tense shoulders and back. I'm not sure what massage oil they use but I did get an allergic reaction from it. Its been 4 days and i still have a rash all over my face, chest, and back.

I had a great massage from Denise. The website advertised a 60 min foot massage for $50, so I opted for that. The facility is clean and Denise was very kind. Her technique was great for getting deep into fascia. The massage consisted of a 15 min foot soak with a shoulder rub, followed by 25 min oil rub on each foot.

Denise does quite well. Makes me pop and snap more than a chiropractor does. Very relaxing and nice. A little language barrier with her not knowing a lot of English but Google translate helps with that.
