We LOVE Josie! We used her for hair and makeup at my wedding and had such a great experience that we booked her for my sister’s wedding. Originally we were out of her normal geographic radius for my sister’s wedding, but we had to have her and offered a little more than her listing price (well worth it!) and she very kindly helped us out. At the hair trial for my wedding, I showed her my Pinterest ideas and she was able to replicate it with ease, despite my hair texture being different from the Pinterest photos. Josie’s genuine priority is helping her clients feel beautiful. If you don’t like a look you thought you would, just let her know, and she’s happy to make changes until you love it. My family is mixed race and she was able to work with a variety of ethnic hair types and skin tones

Josi and her team were friendly, professional, and incredibly talented for my wedding hair and makeup. She and her amazing makeup artist handled six people seamlessly, timing everything perfectly. They talked with each girl to go over style, preferences, and any concerns. I'd highly recommend Josi and her crew again and again!!

I'm using my husband's profile for this review. Josi and her team did an AMAZING job with our wedding this past weekend. She was ready to begin early and accomplish make-up and hair for 5 bridesmaids and me (bride) in less time than anticipated. This added time gave us the opportunity to relax and enjoy the morning before our first-look photos! Her team was able to match with precision each vision and picture of hair and make-up that the bridesmaids showed her and each walked away feeling amazing! With leftover time, she even offered to help touch up the mother of the groom and a friend even though we hadn't originally scheduled for them! Josi was calm and professional. Her team's ability to make each person feel beautiful for this special day was well worth the investment.

Josi is AMAZING! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding 8 years ago and has been the only person to touch my hair since! I cannot recommend her enough!

The hair was fine. My mother and I had to rush home to redo our make-up on my wedding day because Josi used make-up that was way too dark (we are black women). After one of my bridesmaids saw us, she also left to get her make-up done elsewhere. She didn't seem to know what she was doing even when she was applying eyelashes. She has deleted and blocked my reviews on TheKnot several times. This is unprofessional. I would not recommend if you are a woman of color. Response to Josi- My mother and I asked you beforehand if you knew how to do make-up for black women and you said yes. You haven't responded to me till today regarding this issue and it's been over a year. You just delete and ignore.
