Weakley County 911 Communication

Decent folks manning the phones and radios. This is one tough job, so if you are one of those mamby-pamby types that likes to complain about everything, let me save you some time- this ain't the job for you. People only call 911 for bad stuff, so it takes someone who is capable of shelving emotion and reacting with smart, sensible decisions to help the populace. If you think of the services dispatched by this agency is lacking, I dare you to look at neighboring counties and compare. Seriously, check it out. Be grateful that we have it as well as we do. And if you witness a wreck, or any other incident, don't grab a stopwatch. Grab yourself by the collar and go help your neighbor. Learn about no-breath CPR, etc.

Medical response is seriously lacking!! I witnessed a call earlier...EMS responders arrived at the scene, AT LEAST, 20 minutes after the call (I'm being generous with that number.) They responded to the scene with no stretcher or stair chair to get the patient out to the ambulance. After a collapse, this person lay in wait, in a hot building, on a dirty, concrete floor for over 20 minutes....finally, EMS shows up..no stretcher..no equipment to move the patient, no sense of urgency...nothing! Oh wait, they did bring a jump bag!! The patient continued to lay in this dirty and uncomfortable environment until EMS responders had made their assessment...now we are a good 35 - 40 minutes into the call. (Again, I'm being generous with the time.) Eventually, someone ran and got a chair and EMS did
