Viva la Frida Salon

I would never send anyone I know here after the way I was treated as a first time customer. I found this salon on Groupon today and there was a sale for a cut, condition, and one application of all over color. I checked the reviews and noticed there were some bad ones about the staff members/owners being rude, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt since they were so close by and others mentioned they were able to get them in same day. I called the first time to book an appointment and she had a 4pm available. I told her I found her on Groupon, she asked if I had already purchased my Groupon and I told her no I was calling to see if I could get in same day first. She told me not to purchase the Groupon and she would honor the price on my screen in store. At the time it was $75

Very dissapointed! Veronica ruined my hair by giving me exactly what I didn’t asked for . I told her I want darker blend in highlights, showed her a picture, I don’t think she considered. She suggested me a picture and I told her not like that. I bought a full highlight Groupon voucher, she suggested partial highlights, I didn’t made it a big deal I said it’s ok since I thought maybe to much work for a Groupon… anyways I ended up with the worst orange brassy shinny highlights, I figured how much she tried to style my hair and do good after my hair was washed and tried hard with toners. went out in the sun and all my highlights are ginger… she said I have a yellow tone but I have never had this appear on previous services at other salon, the only reason I went here trying to find something

I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism I experienced at the salon today. I scheduled with Veronica and she moved my appointment twice and once I arrived, she wasn’t even there. I put in my appointment notes I wanted to go copper and the salon didn’t even have the back bar supplies to perform my service. I left without receiving any service at all. I was looking forward to supporting a local business however, first impressions are lasting impressions.

Veronica is my hair fairy godmother she took my hair from omg to beautiful in matter of hours.Now she makes magic every couple of weeks for 1 hour for my hair thanks for taking me on Veronica. I get so many compliments on my color and style everyone says you really did a change it’s looks amazing.Nura has made my eyebrows look awesome for going on 6yrs now. This technique of hers for the face to make it glow is wild. If you haven’t been to Viva La Frida Salon yet you’re probably wasting your time at other salons! Ron and don’t walk plus it will also remind you need kinda start taking time for yourself again to let your beauty shine brighter! Plus they have all these cool Wellness events like the one coming up on June 8 telling you about beauty trends and complimentary hair gifts!

I will never go here again. I was treated so rudely. I have only been treated like that once before and that was after 9/11. He didn’t not even finish my haircut. I left with an half hair cut for $35. And I will never go to Alejandro… he was rude and made me feel very uncomfortable.
