Vickies Nail Salon

I have been a regular customer here for years and consistently tip over 20%. Unfortunately, during my last visit, the nail technician used a drill to clean my cuticles and cut into the nail bed. I now have a permanent divot that will take months to grow out. When I showed the owner the damage today, she seemed completely indifferent. As a business owner myself, I wasn't expecting a miracle—just an acknowledgment or a small concession for the mistake. It's disappointing to see such a lack of customer service. I won't be returning.

Lily has been doing my nails for months and she is absolutely wonderful! Incredible attention to detail, and always takes the time to refine and make sure your nails are exactly the way you like them! Plus Lily gives fantastic color recommendations. She is warm and kind, I have had nothing but great experiences with her! Wonderful salon from the nail technicians, to management and the front desk receptionist Morgan! Highly recommend this salon and ask for Lily!

Horrible! Never again. I walked in today without an appointment and I was paired with an older male nail technician with black hair that had tremors. My nail polish is bulky and gross looking. Of course they would pair me someone who doesn’t have a clientele because I wasn’t a regular. I wouldn’t tip him a penny. He really needs to get a new profession. Nice guy, however- I asked him 3 times to fix it and he added more no chip polish. Go to Fantasy nails on Chicago Ave. Way better!!

Amazing walk-in experience!! Friendly greeting, friendly staff, super clean, the tech that helped me was very professional and extremely good at both the mani pedi but also she cleaned up my cuticles the best I've ever had. If I'm ever back in Chicago I will make sure to come here again. There were 3 of us. Photos attached for reference of cuticle clean up and polish application.

I was going to give 5 stars because I got a no-chip that was fantastic and lasted more than a month. I got my nails done again because they grew so much; the manicure was still perfect but there was a large gap after so much growth. I decided to get a classic spa manicure just to do something different, and it looked good. I asked a few nail techs if I'd let my nails dry enough (30 minutes), and they said yes, so I left. When I got home like an hour later, the color on one nail was already chipped, and the color on another nail was rough on the edge. I went back and a rude woman was working the desk, probably filling in for the regular receptionist. I told her what had happened, and that I'd just gotten my nails done an hour before.
