Vichy is a top-notch salon for men’s haircuts and manicures. For over ten years the manager, Adam, has been cutting my hair. I appreciate Adam’s patience and expertise as I describe the cut I’d like to try and his willingness to explain what is or is not possible. He also does an excellent manicure. I’m glad to have such a great place close to home and a great-looking and well-maintained building in downtown Fox Lake. Erica, the owner, and her entire staff are friendly and treat their clients like family. I highly recommend Vichy.

I am a salon’s worst nightmare. I have very long, straight, fine hair, I don’t style it, always air dry, and wait a year or more in between cuts. Then I come in with drastic change inspo pictures, looking for miracles. ADAM IS MY GUY. He is amazing. He is super friendly, remembers conversations from years prior, regardless of only seeing me once a year or less. He literally gives me my miracles! He gave me my first drastic shag cut a few years back, never received more compliments after any one cut. Last week, I had him chop it all off! I was terrified, but his reassuring attitude had me feeling better in no time. In the end, I couldn’t love it more! Better than the inspo pictures. I recently moved and relocated to this area about 3 months ago. My hairstylist is over an hour away. I came across this salon and decided to call for an appointment, as I was badly in need of a haircut. I booked with Amber and I absolutely loved what she did with my hair! She not only took the time and really listened to what I wanted, she was very nice. I will definitely be going back.

Maybe I got the wrong person, but, this is the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. Nice guy. But I’ve been driving from place to place trying to get in somewhere for an hour now hoping someone can fix it. And it’s way too expensive for that. I feel like I honestly got ripped off. I feel like an idiot for coming here. So please, go somewhere else if you’re reading this. At least save half your money. And if you’re a good tipper like me, you won’t feel like you got cheated.
