Versus Salon

To preference I got two services done here, a curly cut and overall color. The curly hair cut was great, exactly what I asked for, no complaints there. However the overall color process was horrible!! For background I had cherry cola brown hair when I walked in and asked for a cinnamon brown and preferences I liked brown with undertones or copper and red. They ended up bleaching my routes and hair which is fine but when adding back in the color they turned my hair orange. When asked if I liked it I said no, please just make me a brunette again and put back in brown. The below picture is what I ended up with which I have to say is closer to what I walked in with then what I requested. To state my appointment was at 2pm, I walked out of that salon at about 9pm, 7 hours of my time wasted!!!

I booked an appointment on February 23, 2026. Initially, I selected a service simply to secure a time slot because I wanted to be seen and ask questions about managing my hair and reducing frizz. I’m not very knowledgeable about hair services, so my goal was just to speak with someone and get guidance. At the time of booking, a $75 deposit was required, which I paid. On February 24, I called to see if there were any earlier openings, since my birthday trip was scheduled for March 6 and I was hoping to address my hair beforehand. During that call, I explained that I only needed a hair consultation. I was told there was an opening on February 25 for a consult, and we moved forward with that. I sent my daughter for a curly appointment. She came home with absolutely no curl definition and product sitting on top of her hair. With further inspection, her scalp wasn't even dry. That's a no no to send someone out with a wet head. She was so i shock she didn't even know what to say. I have pics and they are horrible. I don't know what professional stylist would be able to hold a license with this work. The worst!!!

I was scheduled for a hair dye consultation today, I went there and neicy most graciously offered to dye my hair after the consultation. I showed two pictures. A cola red and a cherry red, she showed me similar colors in the coloring book and I agreed to meet in the middle. Those colors were way more red than what I received. Once my hair was blowdried and styled I asked her if the bottom looked black still and the top was red. She assured me that it was the lighting and that my ends weren’t completely dry, even though they were as I sat under the dryer. My hair is completely dry right now and I took pics of my hair in white lighting and like I figured the bottom half of my hair is still black. I also have red hair dye all over my head and face as well as my chin that was not removed. This

The salon is beautiful, it was my second time there and both times were great. I was serviced by Alé and she did AMAZING! she listened to my concerns about my hair, talked me through the entire process of giving me a new routine and what my hair needs, and brought a vision to life when i barley knew what i wanted it to look like! I'll be recommending Versus salon to everyone , especially Alé!!
