The place where my expectation are failed. I thought about face framing highlights for a long time. Because I have not colored my hair for about 10 years and had natural color I tried to choose the good hair salon based on google reviews. It was a huge mistake. When I came we discussed with Mark what I want to get, I showed pictures and explain that I want to keep as much as possible of my natural color. But in the end I got tiger stripes, no even close to examples that were shown. Unfortunately it was difficult to notice in the salon because of poor lighting. So upset. I would understand if the colorist does not know the technique and can say it out load. Now I need to find somebody to fix it. I would never ever come back and would not suggest to anyone. P.S. I was polite, but not thrill

This is the best salon ever. I've been a client of Mark's since 1996. Hes seen my hair go from brown to "blonde". Hes an artist. I see him every three months to get highlights. It's perfection everytime. The salon is adorable, unpretentious, well equipped and very clean. Keep up the great work . 👍

I love this salon more than I can say. I've always gone to Mark, who consistently gives me the best haircuts I've ever gotten. I have unusually thick and unruly hair, and Mark is always incredibly patient and thorough, walking me through every step and taking his time. This salon's prices are extremely reasonable and the interior is well-decorated. Can't recommend highly enough.

I love this place so much. Glad to have it in the neighborhood. Mark is so polite and respects his customers. I like that I can pleasantly chat with him while he does wonders to my hair. He makes sure that his clients and he are on the same page before he starts. Jackie is also great and so is the woman who washes my hair. ❤️

I have been having my hair cut by Mark Van Sickle ever since moving to Brooklyn in 2020. The Salon is so adorable and I love Mark's work. Not only does he listen to my hair needs, but he is a wonderful friend/therapist. What more could anyone ask??
