Imagine thinking you’re going to get a quick pedicure before you hit the road for vacation. And the man in the nail salon tells you to leave. I walked in at 11:37am 6/27/26 Two workers were there a man doing a pedicure and a woman doing nails. I asked for a gel polish change. Waited and the man told me to come on. He ran the water in a bowl with no liner. Then (this is when I knew this was nasty) he proceeded to take all the implements he just used on the woman before me and put them at my station. I asked can you please get new tools. A file buffer everything. He asked why? I said because you just used them on this lady. And that’s unsanitary. He says we do this all the time. I said that’s a health and sanitation issue. He proceeds tell me I can leave. Of course I did. My heart sank thi

I came here because it was recommended to me by a friend. My old salon was charging way too much for me to have to come home and finish them (the corners were so sharp and it there was so much leftover filings, crooked). Universal got it right on the first trip! Rounded my corners, the gel wasn't laid on thick and they take the time to clean up your nail/fingers (I get gel over my natural nail). The techs are personable and very nice. Plus, it's not crowded and I don't feel like I'm going to have an asthma attack sitting there. I've tried 3 different places in a year. I'm staying with Universal! (Ignore my super dry hands, I wash/sanitize all day every day)

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Terrible service. The man who works there is rude and argued loudly with me because I asked him to make sure my water was hot. The last time I was there, my water was lukewarm. I also asked that he push my cuticles back because, again, he did not do that the last time. My pedicure looked as though I had a small nail bed, which I do not. I was not loud. I asked him respectfully. In my opinion, he did not like it because I am an African American woman who asked to be treated the way he treated the non-African American women who came into the shop. In other words, he wanted me to sit down and let him do what he wanted to do with no comment. I told him I could leave, and he told me that he did not need the money. Got my nails done yesterday. These are the nails today. Owners are friendly and the salon has a nice and relaxing ambiance. I love my nails. Very springy and with a fair price.

I got my nails done at this salon twice with similar expieriences both times. the man who worked on my nails seemed agressive and in an horrible mood both times. The other lady doing nails seemed sweet and if you do find yourself going to this salon i suggest going to her. The first time i went in was just to fix an broken acrylic nail job and it went ok besides the mans horrible attitude and an not the best quality for the nail they replaced. the first nails i had fell out really quickly after going to get them done here and the nail he prepared had an bubble in the nail itself (if that makes any sense lol) The second time I came was also below average, I got the same agressive man before and he had another horrible attitude.
