Ulta Beauty

I visited the Tooele location for their soft launch day on 9/5 in the morning shortly after they opened. The new store is beautiful! I have been to Ulta stores around the east coast and in other Utah locations and honestly this is perhaps the best layout and store stock/quantity of brands I’ve seen. Beautifully laid out, helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Customer service was extremely disappointing. Before leaving the store, we specifically asked about returning an item and were given an answer. Based on that information, we drove back to Stansbury to retrieve the item and receipt, then returned to the store approximately 45 minutes later. At that point, we were told the return could not be processed due to store policy, which I understand. The issue was not the policy, but the way the situation was handled. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused by being given incorrect information. When I explained that we had asked beforehand and made the trip based on their response, the associate simply repeated that it could not be done, with noticeable attitude and dismissiveness. Went into this location yesterday after work. 1st time I have been inside an Ulta before. I was very impressed with the staff. I struggle with makeup and finding the right shades for me. When I 1st got there the only staff member I saw was helping another customer. But then a worker walked by me to let the other staff member know she was going on break as she walked past I asked for help. She still stopped to see what I needed. I let her know she should go on her break. The gentleman that was helping the other customer still asked what I needed and if he could help he helped real fast because it was a simple question I needed with which shade he thought blended best on my skin. Madison did an amazing cut on my curly hair. Really good communication and understanding of what I was trying to achieve. 10/10 would book again.

Kelsea’s service was amazing:) she really cares about others, you can tell she is there because she loves all things beauty. Her customer service levels matches her education knowledge. Great experience shopping yesterday 10/10
