We had a really lovely experience 11/3/25 at Ulta on the Roosevelt boulevard. Thank to Emilee. She was so patient with us. We both needed foundation. She showed both of us what color that would work well for us and how to apply foundation and contour .She demonstrated on us separately really taking her time to teach us. At the end she asked me if there was anything else I needed. I asked her can you help me find my eyebrows. I haven't seen them since 1980. They have disappeared with over plucking. She showed me how to use a brow filler and and microfiber brow pen. She was sweet kind and informative. We bought everything that she suggested. we love it. I'm in my late '50s. My daughter is in her 30s, and she knew how to shift between the two of us. Very professional. We left feeling happy.

Let me start by saying I’ve been a loyal customer at this Ulta for years. I’ve had multiple services done here—brows, hair, makeup—you name it. The staff rotates often, but one thing I don’t play about is my eyebrows. When I saw Karla on the schedule, I decided to give her a chance. I had been growing my brows out for a while and clearly communicated that before even sitting down. I explained exactly what I wanted. What I got was my eyebrows waxed into nonexistence. Bald. Gone. Deleted. And instead of addressing it, she tried to camouflage the damage with eyebrow gel and pencil like I wouldn’t notice. This review specifically refers to the Ulta store located at 9173 Roosevelt Blvd. I gave one star because the young lady did check the bag for the proper item before handing it to me. Here is some constructive and well intended advice for your store manager. It is management’s responsibility to do all they can to ensure a smooth customer experience. I entered the store and got in line behind about 10 people and waited approximately 15 minutes to work my way through the aforementioned line and up to the front counter. Once there, I requested my online order. Only then was I was told that I should’ve been standing somewhere else and It would not have taken as long to pick up my item and be on my way. THIS REVIEW IS SPECIFICALLY FOR THE ULTA SALON AT THIS LOCATION. I was really disappointed with my experience at this Ulta. I booked a hair appointment with a stylist named Gigi, who had a similar hair texture to mine and came recommended. As a new mom, this appointment meant a lot to me. It was the first time I was doing something for myself since having my baby, and we had holiday photos coming up. I was genuinely excited. Two days before my appointment, Gigi called and asked if I could come in that same day. It was the day before a holiday, so that wasn’t possible. She sounded uneasy, and I even told my husband afterward that I had a bad feeling she might cancel on me. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened. I had a disappointing experience at this Ulta store. Upon entering, I was not greeted, nor was I offered a shopping bag. As I browsed the aisles, no staff member offered assistance or a bag for my selections. I also observed a black staff member, who was wearing a mask and applying makeup to a customer, give me a look that suggested I was unwelcome. This store and its employees would benefit significantly from customer service training. The cashiers were also impolite. I will not be returning to this location.
