Ulta Beauty - Moved

Super happy with my new stylist, Sarah. I've always been hesitant of going to a salon inside a retail store but she was excellent. Plus I could but all of the goodies she used on me and most of them were on sale :) she did a great job with the cut and color. I have thick curly hair and this may be the best haircut I've ever had. I'm definitely going back.

The staff is usually helpful and friendly, and the store is large and carries a wide variety of brands. The one issue is that they have often suddenly stopped carrying certain products within a brand, or been out of certain shades of makeup products for long periods of time, making me have to turn to other retailers for stuff I'd always bought from them in the past. This has happened multiple times with multiple brands over the last year, so even though the location may stock a certain product line, you can't always rely on getting your product from it here.

I have never had any issues shopping here, but I do not recommend the hair salon. I didn't realize how bad of a salon experience I had here until I found a very experienced stylist who has been wonderful with my cuts and colors. First, the stylist at Ulta did not cut my hair evenly. I had uneven layers in a basic bob. I also (much too impulsively) got my hair bleached and colored. I know it could have been a lot worse because my hair could have fallen out. Literally. There was no communication whatsoever, and as someone who hadn't had experience with an extreme color change like that, communication is key. She had to bleach me twice, but she did not tell me how this would affect the cost. That may be the thing that irked me the most, but she didn't know anything about keeping my hair safe

I had a 90 minute facial with Morgan. Which I adored. She made me feel comfortable and did a awesome job on my face. She offered me a drink of water. I was allowed ample enough time to change and the towel was large enough for me, very comforting. All the products she used smelled good. The music was relaxing and soothing. I will definitely be back.

I was very pleased with the makeup Artist that finally did my daughter's makeup, but all and all Ulta's staff are very disengaging, rude, snooty. I am in the industry for over 20 yrs and customer service is everything in my business and industry.. I don't think management nor corporate value the customers that dump $100's of dollars into the business.
