I normally don't complain...but I paid $136 for my daughters hair to get cut and colored just the ends, no big deal until I saw how bad her coloring was when she got home. She sat at the salon for 3 hours, for just her ends to get colored. At first she loved it until I showed her the back of her head. I called the same night to talk to the stylist was told she went home this was Wednesday and was told she will call me back when she got in, I gave her a day or two knowing she was gone the next day (was told by the stylist pre scheduling). Extremely disappointed because I was even going to book an appointment with with to do a cut and full hair color. But after seeing my daughter's hair I might as well go to Walmart and buy box dye.

I recently got a makeup application by Sam the Skin Care Therapist at Ulta Beauty. She took her time and was very experienced in every step of the makeup process. She made sure I loved the look she was sending me home with and overall gave an amazing experience. I also have gotten multiple facials with her and she has transformed my skin so much. I have very dry and sensitive skin and she always leaves my skin feeling and looking bright and hydrated. I overall would recommend any of her services!

To start off, I have a two year old son who’s full of energy, but means well. We stopped in to look for Christmas perfumes, and like always my son gets excited in Ulta. I always make sure he doesn’t touch displays or do anything destructive. As someone who’s worked at Ulta and MAC, I know what it’s like when a parent allows their child to run wild, but that was not the case here. My son did a couple quick laps around the perfume display and everything was totally fine. But immediately, I felt like I was being watched like a hawk. An employee walked up to me and said “I wouldn’t have him do laps here if I were you.” And I said I understood and got him to stop for a moment but toddlers continue on. I had already been micromanaging him the entire 5 minutes we were in the store. After I said I

Samantha the esthetician at ulta beauty in grafton gave me my most beautiful makeup application I’ve ever had! I’ve never been happier and more satisfied with a service before. She is very kind, informative of what she’s doing and how incase I were to ever want to try and applying it by myself. I’ve also learned what makeup goes well with my complexion and skin products to help the dryness I was experiencing. She is amazing and very helpful with makeup or skin questions one may have. I will absolutely be going back to her and getting my makeup done again!

Be very careful with in-store promotions — you really have to triple-check everything yourself. Even when deals are clearly posted, they don’t always apply at checkout. I had to walk all the way back through the store to verify the promotion, and there was noticeable resistance, like I wasn’t being believed. Luckily, I had taken a photo of the deal the day before with a timestamp and geolocation, otherwise I don’t think it would’ve been honored at all, which was frustrating and unnecessary. No customer should feel like they have to prove they’re telling the truth. That said, ULTA itself is a nice store with a great selection, and I usually enjoy shopping here. If the promotion system at checkout were more reliable, the experience would be much better.
