I recently visited this Ulta Beauty location and had a mixed experience. I was looking for the new Rare Beauty brown mascara and noticed there wasn’t any on the shelf in the aisle. I approached two employees who were standing near the Kylie Cosmetics section where testers are usually done on clients. I asked if there was any available in the back. They immediately told me I would most likely have to place the item for pickup or order it online. I asked again if they could check for me just in case, but they kept insisting that ordering online was the only option and didn’t attempt to look. When I went to check out my other Rare Beauty products, an employee named Fabiola helped me. She was extremely kind and energetic, and when I mentioned the mascara, she immediately offered to check for
Honestly very displeased by how this location handled a situation I had with one of their stylists back in August. I have been to Ulta salons in a few states and the service that i usually get has been the same name across. I usually book the haircut as I can do a deep conditioning mask at home and honestly was very tight on cash that week to add on the service. When I arrived, the stylist, Maleaka, already had an attitude and did not seem like she wanted to cut my hair. I explained I wanted a trim and some layers and tried to show her pictures of how I like it cut but before I could, she told me I had to upgrade my cut to a signature haircut because what I was asking for was too complex for the basic which I was confused about as at the other locations I have been to, there is no differen
I booked an appointment with Maria G. , and I asked for a refresh on my bangs and layers, along with a voluminous curly blowout. I went in with curtain bangs, and was very specific in asking for my bangs to stay the same shape, but the length, sweep the lower half of my eyebrows. After seeing the initial cut of my bangs I was very vocal in that I was not happy with the cut, but Maria assured me she would style them with the flat iron so I could see the progress. Once styled, it was very clear my bangs were not at all what I asked for, and after voicing my concerns, Maria stated “well it’s not like we can put the hair back on”. I asked for the service to finish early because I was unhappy and ready to just pay and go. Maria then proceeded to state “well I better get my money for the service
The level of unprofessionalism I experienced at this location was genuinely disappointing. This was my first visit, and it will certainly be my last, regardless of the convenience of its proximity to my home. I was met with noticeably unfriendly attitudes from staff, to the point where even asking a simple question at checkout resulted in unnecessary hostility. I fully understand the pressures of the holiday season and high customer volume, I’ve worked in retail myself but those factors do not excuse dismissive or disrespectful behavior toward customers. While it wasn’t even busy at all. When I asked about the potential restock of a holiday collection, I was met with a snarky response: “If I knew, you’d know.” Completely uncalled for. Not to mention, openly tossing my items into the bag w
I booked a bang trim appointment at Ulta today and was seen by Folasade S. I was in a bad head space today and did not properly convey how I felt, but I love how she cut my bangs! I came in with curtain bangs and asked if she could trim them straight while leaving the side fringe intact. She took her time doing my bangs and asked several times if I liked it. Originally after blow drying, I felt the right side looked a little uneven. She went back and readjusted them. When she asked again, my only comment was that I felt the side fringe was a little short, but otherwise the bangs were what I asked for and matched the picture I showed her well. Folasade really did a lovely job and I don’t think I conveyed that properly at the salon today.
