I really liked this Ulta branch. All the workers were super nice and helpful, and they actually guided me to where I needed to go. They even shared their favorite scents with me, which was really cool. They didn’t mind me taking pictures or filming for my review either, which I appreciated. I went there to buy the new Squishmallow perfume set for my fiancée, and they even gave me a free gift with it. The store itself is pretty big, with a great selection of fragrances for both men and women. I was surprised they had all the ones I was looking for. I’ll definitely come back next time to grab something for myself.

Really bad experience with my curly hair cut. I was booked with curly hair specialist Stacie S. She was so insecure handling my hair and was asking me what to do! I patiently explained what they normally do(I see a girl at Ulta in Salinas but she was out for a few months) she cut here and there then asked me if I liked it. She hardly trimmed it mostly the bottom, I asked her to add shape there was no shape. Anyway what killed me was after she washed it she gets a hair pic and a mens comb, she then asks me what she should use to style it. When she adds the cream, she rubs it, creating frizz. That’s when I lost it I asked her for a wide tooth comb put some product and went to pay. Then I was asked by a manager if everything was okay. I said no explained the situation and gave me $7 off. REAL

I booked an everyday makeup appointment and was clearly told the price would be $50. When it came time to pay, I was instead charged $70 for “formal” makeup. Assuming this was a mistake, I asked for it to be corrected. After checking, they came back and told me that everyday and formal makeup were the same price - contradicting what I had been told. I again explained that this was not what I was quoted. They checked a second time, and the manager then said that because I had eyeshadow and a slightly heavier look, it counted as formal makeup. This was frustrating, as I repeatedly asked the artist for very light, glowy, Korean-style makeup. She showed me several inspiration photos that were heavier than what I wanted, which I declined. I had the most darling hairdresser, who gave me the perfect cut that I wanted. Her name was monique, she's young and she's brilliant. I'm definitely going back to her. I have long straight hair, and with that, it's scary to have somebody cut your hair. Sorry when I took my photo, my hair is a little messy

Came immediately here from Sally Beauty on Camino Arroyo. They were efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. No one was too busy having conversations with friends to help me like I experienced at Sally Beauty. Thank you!
