Ulta Beauty

Went in around the holiday season for make-up, with no idea where to start. Thankfully, Shamey came to my rescue. She helped me find a few products that would fit my needs, matched to my skin tone, and showed me how to use them. After following her instructions, my make-up looked amazing and I got many compliments. Thanks so much!!

I just walked into this store to do a no-receipt return. My husband bought my daughter a gift that she ended up with 2 of. Unfortunately, in the Christmas chaos, the receipt is nowhere to be found. I explained to the caahier that I was positive my husband didn’t use a rewards account, he wouldn’t even know what that was. Therefore needing the no-receipt return. She said she cannot do that, so I questioned that, I had already looked up the return policy. It clearly states that a no receipt refund is an option but at the lowest sale price, that’s fine, I knew we didn’t have the receipt, our fault. She still told me no so I said okay, I’ll just go to the other store and as I walked out, she said “maybe you just shouldn’t shop at Ulta.” I turned around and repeated what she said to make sure I

I did not like how Donovan entered the same aisle I was in and pretended to look for items on the shelf. He lingered in that aisle for an excessive amount of time, making the situation uncomfortable. I also ended up spending far more than I had intended, which only added to my frustration. What stood out to me was that there were white women in the store whom he did not approach or hover near at all. The behavior from him, along with the female employee with glasses and bangs, made the experience feel very uncomfortable and inappropriate. Not everyone is trying to steal, I understand that you have a job to do; but Hawkins customers down is what’s going to make you lose customers! Ridiculous

I came to this Ulta by *complete and total coincidence* because I wasn’t able to get to the one I usually go to, and THANK GOD FOR SERENDIPITY. I have never, in almost 30 years of living, experienced, in a beauty store, the kind of PATIENCE, and SUPPORT, and GUIDANCE, and the utmost PROFESSIONALISM, that I had the pleasure of experiencing yesterday because of Ulta’s one and only Donovan. My God in Heaven, WOW. I said to Donovan, I said – “I am resolved, come hell OR high water to be the Baddie that I know I was always meant to be and YOU are going to help make that happen” and Donovan delivered – stunningly. I found the lady who checked on me quite rude, she talked to me while not looking at me, no questions, no nothing. Pretty much felt like since I wasn't getting hair services through them, they weren't interested. I left without getting anything. Especially after she suggested another store :) Go to Sephora, go to Amazon. Go anywhere else.
