I’ve had my eyebrows waxed at Ulta Beauty Salon multiple times and always had a great experience. The salon is clean, bright, and professional. My cosmetologist always sanitizes her hands, uses fresh materials, and follows NYS cosmetology and sanitation standards. My brows always come out perfectly shaped and natural-looking, with no redness or irritation. For clarification — in New York State, licensed cosmetologists are not required or encouraged to “sanitize” the skin with alcohol or harsh disinfectants before waxing, as that can irritate or damage the skin barrier. Clean tools, sanitized hands, and proper technique are what’s required — and that’s exactly what I’ve experienced at Ulta. The $29 price reflects the expertise and safety of a licensed professional. Got my eyebrows done here- the eyebrows look fine but some key sanitation was not! And they are more puffy than ever. I also can’t fathom ever paying $29 for eyebrow only wax. If I knew the price I prob would have gone else where. Because it doesn’t feel like a $29 dollar wax experience at all. The girl didn’t wash her hands before touching my face she put lotion on after touching everything else while setting up. Then she didn’t sanitize my eyebrows where she would be waxing. I was put in a fake corner with not good lighting so I’m shocked she even managed to wax without proper lighting. Didn’t apply good pressure to make the strip stick to the wax. I wasn’t offered aloe or anything. I left with wax still on my skin I had to clean it myself. They are definitely irritated now too. If th
