Twisted Hair Salon

We love this salon. My daughter has been having her hair done here for many months. She is very experimental and has had some extreme changes and styles. They have been able to cater to her every wish and she comes out looking fabulous! The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. I know several people who have had their hair done here and all have had great experiences. The owner is a pro - I love this salon!

Great place filled with great women as their staff! Really made me feel welcomed and it was great to know I was in good hands. I had my dreads done here just over 2 months ago now and they just keep looking better and better everyday! I was definitely nervous about doing something as permanent as dreadlocks to the hair I had been growing for 4 years and couldn’t have been more pleased I’d i went anywhere else. I’m thoroughly pleased with the results and would recommend to anyone even for regular hair maintenance. Would totally leave a 6/5 rating if it let me go any higher! 😜

As an older man with receding hair line, I’ve not been able to find anyone who can cut my hair to fit my head and manage the new growth patterns. Shannah is an artist and has given me the best cuts I’ve had in as along as I can remember. And the men’s haircut is very affordable. Kudos to Twisted. Highly recommend to all, but especially those who need a little extra attention.

I love this place! It's in a converted shotgun and has classic New Orleans charm with funky decor, a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. I've been here multiple times, but Anna just gave me a perfect cut and it was one of the best salon visits I've had. I felt really pampered and she gave me great advice about my hair. I highly recommend it!

I would like to correct the part of the review posted by Deanna Hensley about "the client that was getting her dreads done by the owner" I am that client.. & I would like to clarify the fact that I have had my dreads for 5years, and at that point, they had NEVER been touched by a professional! I was actually surprised at the fact that she got so much done in only an hour!! I only asked for her to do the top because I was very excited about how the rest looked & for once I didn't look "a mess". She is extremely knowledgeable about dreads & I left there with a lot of helpful information. I have another appt & will continue to see her for my maintenance. I recommend anyone with dreads to go see her!! She will do an amazing job.
