I went to twin sisters nail salon a couple weeks ago for acrylic nails and gel plus a gel pedi. Initially was hoping to see Kim but was told she was out of town. When I arrived I told them I only had an hour and then had to leave for another aptmnt. Was re-assured that was not problem. I wasn’t thrilled with my nails. They put the tips on a bit crooked and when I asked she said she’d file them down to be even but now they’re growing out crooked. The acrylic was put on poorly with an uneven surface and tons of hardened acrylic under my nails. They did a poor job cleaning it off when I pointed it out. They also cut my cuticle pretty bad, and it was scabbed for 3 days. My nails began lifting immediately and now I can barely do my hair without it getting caught under my nails. They also went 1

🌟 BEST Nail Salon Experience EVER! 🌟 This was hands-down the best experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon! During a trip to San Rafael for my uncle’s wedding, this place truly felt like a second home. The staff is incredibly welcoming and family-oriented. They even offered my cousin and me food and drinks (wine, water, and the most amazing Vietnamese iced coffee!). They genuinely enjoy talking with customers and take their time with every detail and request. The twin sisters who run the salon clearly put their customers first, and it shows in everything they do. I’ve been coming to this salon for a while and used to really love their work, which makes it hard for me to write this. I recently went in for a full set for my birthday, and I left feeling really disappointed. I showed a reference photo of what I was hoping for (attached below), but what I ended up with was rushed, uneven, and already lifting by the next day. The nails look sloppy and not seamlessly applied to my natural nails, as shown in the photos I’ve included. It was especially disheartening because this was meant to be my birthday set—something I was really looking forward to. I don’t want to be negative, but I do hope the salon takes this as constructive feedback.

Ive been going there for a while and this last time the owner did my nails. She did such a terrible job I wont be back. She cut my nails crooked, it looks like I need a fill when Ive had my dip manicure for only 2 days. My square nails dip down in the middle so its like a reverse rainbow in shape. I had long natural nails that are now ruined. My right hand looks completely different from my left hand. Different lengths of nails than the left hand, she went wild with the sander too, removing the dip in areas...Just shotty work. Now I have to take the time and money to go get them re done. Im not happy and very very disappointed.

I'm 28 years old and I've only gotten my nails professionally done a few times, ever. But after having such a wonderful experience at Twin Sisters, I want to start coming back monthly! It was my first time getting dip powder and my nail tech, Kathy was patient with all of my questions and design requests. She was gentle, accommodating, and we had fun conversation during the 2 hour process. The salon provides complimentary water, Vietnamese coffee, and other beverages. I felt welcomed and comfortable for the entire experience. They've gained a repeat customer! PS, remember to tip your nail techs! Cash is preferred, but you can tip after your credit card transaction :) UPDATE: I’ve been coming back every month and have always been happy with my nails! 🥰
