Trussville Nail Spa

I normally don’t write reviews but here it goes…I’ve come here now a few times thinking I will give them a chance but every time I go I’m disappointed. My pedicure today was terrible. As you can see from pictures one nail is missing polish while my little toe has it all over my cuticle. I will NO longer be returning. $60 for a gel pedicure to look like this is unacceptable.

What I wanted vs what I got. I called to make an appointment I explained exactly what I wanted and what was needed as I have never been to this place before. The guy who does pedicures wanted $95 for my toes that was a $35 pedi fill in 2 toes and ombré- when I said never mind on the toes being polished I’ll still take the pedi he spoke in their native language and she advised he said no I can leave. I provided the lady with photographs of things I’d like. She gave me pricing.,. I agreed. These nails look nothing like the photo she was working from even though she kept looking at the photograph. The acrylic is much too thick. She waits until the very end to say they didn’t have the correct color stones and gives me this yellow which… I despise. My pinky nail was broken that’s why I went in

I came in for a full acrylic set with gel and wanted my nails 1/4 of an inch. My expectation was to get gel polish in the color of the middle picture and was told that it would be $5 extra for it to be cut short. I DO get that it was after 6pm when I came in to get serviced. However, I feel that I was overcharged not to get my cuticles pushed back and no gel polish applied. It does look like the nails I wanted but two things: I had to pay $55 when I didn’t get gel polish which there website says that $50 will get you a full set AND gel polish and all I got was a clear coat and my nails cut and I left not really liking my nails. The work they do is horrible. I've been going for a few months, really trying to give them a chance. Each technician in the salon has worked on my nails. Only one did them as they should be done and that was Vincent. The last two times I went, I specifically asked for Vincent. But Each time was told he was off that day. So yesterday I called ahead and asked if Vincent was working and was told no. I asked if he would be working the next day and was told I'd have to call back to see. What??!! And I was speaking to the lady that manages the salon. How do you not know when your staff is working. I have tried this place a few times and every time it has been really great. I have always had “my guy’” but he has been busy every time I have gone so I darted over to Trussville Spa. I absolutely love Nam. He did my first nail fill in and I loved how he shaped my nails. I the classic kind of person. Yes I guess old now. The owner is just as kind and thoughtful and her shop is so clean and beautiful. They are not as busy as other locations around Trussville maybe because they are tucked back, so I really didn’t want to let the secret out, but they really are good. Prices are higher. Won’t disagree with that but you check in at the front, and the pricing is right there when you sign in. Can’t say you didn’t know. But for the quick in and out service is worth me not sitting th
