Tranquility Spa and Boutique

I confess.  I haven't been to a regular hair stylist in over a year.  I do have a good reason why but that's another story. So, in the meantime, I've been using Groupon as my shopping guide as I search for permanency in the salon department. Some basic information about the salon... 'Tranquility' is the 4th salon on my 'make a commitment' tour.  Cute, cozy, and located right off Rt.22 in Murrysville, just past Sheetz.  If you're like me, then you also enjoy the 'down time' aspect of going to the salon, when you finally get a piece of some peace and quiet.  And welcoming, run by a smart, inspirational woman, Jamie, with decades of experience.  Well how smart is this 'Jamie'?  Smart enough to realize that, sometimes change, although scary, is a beautiful thing.  And so Jamie, after success

I had an awful experience with Jamie. First off, she rescheduled our appointment about seven times then when I finally had my appointment, she thought our appointment was two hours from when it was so I had to wait two hours for my appointment. Then the highlights she gave me weren’t even remotely close to the photo I showed her and gave me zebra striped highlights, and told me I should go to Sally’s Beaty supply and try to tone it myself to fix it. When I kindly reached out to her to ask if she can fix my hair to blend it better she told me she would have to charge me more and there’s nothing she can do to help me then proceeded to block my number. She is beyond UNPROFESSIONAL

This was my first time going to this salon and I got a Brazilian blowout by Jamie. I had found them through Groupon. Jamie was great! I have long very curly hair and this was the second Brazilian blowout I've ever had. She explained each step of the process with me as she worked. I couldn't be happier with how my hair turned out. If you are looking for a good salon and a small reprieve from life Tranquility Spa and Boutique is the place to go and Jamie is the woman to see.

I got a Groupon for a full set of lash extensions. This was the first time I had ever gotten them so I had no idea how bad my experience was until I went and gotten them done elsewhere. They lady who did them was nice but she kept opening my eyes and this resulted in the glue burning my eyes. It was absolutely terrible experience. You aren’t supposed to open your eyes at all. The glue is very agitating to your eyes. The girl just kept telling me that was normal since I had never gotten them before. That was not normal. The results were terrible. Completely unnoticeable but I wasn’t going to have her fix them because I was terrified after that experience.

This place was great. Small, privately owned, quiet salon. I called and was able to get an appointment that day. Jen did I wonderful job on my hair. She gave me exactly what I wanted while provided great conversation in a peaceful environment. Thanks for the services!
