i had solely requested to have my hair relaxed and was told halfway through my visit (upon asking) that the washing, conditioning, and styling were all separate charges (all necessary, of course 🙄). i was upsold almost three times the cost of the same treatment anywhere else. it wasn't until i told my new stylist about this experience that i realized this, which burns especially bad because i remember explicitly saying that i was new to the area and had never really been to salons before. the fact that i was seen as a naive customer to extort rather than one to build a long lasting relationship with was what prompted me to write this scathing review five months later. that and i had to pay in cash because she "didn't want to pay the card fees".

I've been natural for 13 years and had to do my second-ever big chop to rectify a straight-haired cut for a blowout that should have been cut while my hair was in its natural state. I visited a barber shop with photos for reference to refine my new transition, but wound up with another bad cut. Then, I Googled salons in the area and found Total Elegance. I called & spoke with Tanya about correcting my horrible haircut. When I went in, she assessed my concerns and highly recommended that I let Wesley, their barber, repair the damage. She really trusted his skills, so I agreed. Had my money stolen by a stylist there named tonya davis. She attempted to perform a sew-in but the pieces were not sewn in. The tracks were not only visible but kept falling out. For what i paid for her to do my hair, i expect it to last more than 2 weeks. I do not recommend this stylist and if this is the kind of stylist they hire, i dont recommend this establishment.

I like going there,and also the young lady Tonya, does my and she is very good and a spiritual person,and I always get good compliments about my hair.
